Thermochemical Processing
Contact person: jose maria sanchez hervas
Objetives
It addresses the development of primary thermochemical conversion processes (combustion, gasification, hydroliquefaction, pyrolysis, reforming, etc.) and subsequent processing, which includes the development of technologies for cleaning, conditioning, and improving the products of primary conversion, including the capture and valorization of CO2, to achieve net-negative greenhouse gas emissions.
It also focuses on the sustainable production of advanced gaseous biofuels and bioproducts (H2, SNG) and liquid fuels (jet fuel, gasoline, DME, methanol) from synthesis gas and CO2, biochar, and chemical pyrolysis precursors.
