Objetives

It includes the use of biochemical treatments to obtain biofuels (liquid and gaseous) and value-added bioproducts from different biomasses within the framework of biorefineries and the circular bioeconomy. It includes the optimization of pretreatment, the study of enzymes and microorganisms, as well as the application of fermentations and anaerobic digestion to obtain these advanced biofuels and bioproducts, demonstration and application in biorefineries of lignocellulosic biomass, valorization of CO2 streams via biomethanization, the simulation of these processes and their technical-economic analysis.
