Objetives
It aims to carry out R+D+I in the production of electricity with photovoltaic solar energy to improve the performance, reliability and durability of conversion systems, increase their circularity and sustainability, reduce system operation and maintenance costs and their environmental impact and optimally hybridize with other renewable technologies to provide higher factors of combined capacity and availability.
It addresses activities such as the evaluation and characterization of components and prototypes, including accelerated and reliability testing, and end-of-life strategies that allow the application of circular economy principles; the optimization of emerging applications for large-scale deployment, such as the integration of photovoltaic systems into buildings and self-consumption systems or agrivoltaics; the characterization of solar irradiance and measuring instruments with the highest possible precision and least uncertainty, resulting in the improvement of photovoltaic plant monitoring systems and their simulation.
