Advanced Materials for Energy and Environmental Applications
Contact person: jose javier gandia alabau
Objetives
It focuses on the development of advanced materials for the safe and sustainable manufacturing of devices for energy and environmental purposes.
Research is conducted on the development of advanced materials for applications in both established and emerging technologies, so that they bring a diminished use of raw materials, facilitate the reuse and recycling of the final products, and/or bear multifunctional characteristics; These materials will be incorporated into new designs of photovoltaic, photocatalytic and electrochemical storage devices, which will provide compelling solutions to specific energy and environmental problems. Finally, the hybridization of such devices is also contemplated, through tandem or multifunctional structures, in order to facilitate the search for more efficient and cost-effective solutions, minimizing environmental impacts.
