Energy Efficiency in Building Construction
Contact person: jose antonio ferrer tevar
Objetives
It is centered on the field of reducing energy demand and the development of smart and livable cities. It develops integrated, scalable, and replicable solutions to make future buildings and cities more sustainable and resilient, considering buildings and inhabited environments as sources and consumers of energy. Research focuses on passive building design, the integration of natural conditioning techniques, the development of distributed generation systems (heat/cold/electricity) through urban energy networks, the integration of renewable energy sources, and considering hygrothermal comfort based on locally available natural resources.
