Linear Solar Thermal Concentration Technologies
Contact person: diego cesar alarcon padilla
Objetives
It is dedicated to the evaluation and development of components and applications for linear focus solar concentrators (such as cylindrical-parabolic collectors and linear Fresnel collectors). It investigates the development of advanced heat transfer fluids with a lower environmental footprint capable of withstanding operating temperatures exceeding 400°C, as well as components that enhance the efficiency, reliability, and profitability of processes (receiver tubes, mirrors, flexible connections, etc.). Furthermore, it explores new designs for collectors and innovative plant configurations to better harness available resources.
