Water Treatment through Solar Photochemistry
Contact person: isabel oller alberola
Objetives
It is focused on exploring the photochemical possibilities of solar energy, especially its potential for water decontamination and disinfection and the production of solar fuels through solar photocatalysis or artificial photosynthesis. It includes the design, improvement, and optimization of technologies based on the combination of photochemical processes for the removal of particularly complex and persistent contaminants, the combination of advanced solar photooxidation processes with other innovative technologies for the decontamination and disinfection of various types of wastewater for reuse purposes (industrial processes or crop irrigation).
