Objetives

It performs preclinical assays (in vitro and in vivo) to estimate the actual biological dose delivered after irradiation with different radiation beams and develops biomarkers that can identify individuals susceptible to receiving combined radiotherapy (conventional or proton therapy) and immunotherapy. Additionally, it evaluates biological effects of non-conventional radiotherapeutic methods in comparison to conventional radiotherapy.
