Materials for Energy Storage and Conversion
Contact person: gonzalo de diego velasco
Objetives
Synthesis, characterization, validation for use, and adverse effects of materials for energy storage are conducted, along with their final disposal and possible pathways for their end-of-life management (recovery, recycling, or disposal). This includes studies on material compatibility with molten salts (thermal storage), synthesis and development of new materials (hydrogels, aerogels, doped materials, smart materials, nanomaterials, new electrolytes for electrochemical storage), and advanced characterization techniques.
