Objetives
The objective is to develop and implement advanced biomass and waste combustion and gasification systems of different powers, optimising the operating conditions, reducing the emissions generated and improving the quality of the gasification gas in order to achieve compliance with current legislation on emissions.
Subfacilities
- Combustion Pilot Plants
- Combustion Pilot Plants
- Sampling and gas analysis systems
Technical services provided
- Test of combustion in 500-kW mobile grill boiler for solid biofuels or waste fuels
- Test of combustion in a 1000-kW bubbling fluidised bed furnace for solid biofuels or waste fuels
- Analysis of gases and particles in biomass combustion and solid waste
- Activity and selectivity test on materials applicable to thermal conversion processes and to the purification of gases produced in these processes (combustion and gasification), using synthetic gases and under realistic temperature and pressure conditions
- Combustion test in a hot water boiler, household type grill, with side feed of 40-Kw thermal input (PM40) for woody or herbaceous solid biofuels in bulk or pelletised.
- Gasification test in GLFB100.
- Sampling of tars in gasification gas and quantification of gravimetric tars.
