Tier 1 In the scientific Information port (Bellaterra: Barcelona)
Objetives
The objetive is to provide computing power and storage capacity for the processing and analysis of massive amounts of scientific and/or technical data from CERN's Large Hadron Collider (LHC), astroparticle and cosmology experiments. Its main activity focuses on the CMS experiment, providing critical support to other fundamental physics projects including: neutrino experiments (DUNE), cosmic rays (AMS), dark matter (DArT, DarkSide, Deap3600) and gravitational waves (Virgo-LIGO).
