The objective of this line is the analysis of the energy transition in its environmental, economic, and social aspects in order to guide research and innovation in energy technologies to contribute to and be a key pillar of sustainable development and new models of environmental governance, contributing to the energy transition in line with the 2030 Agenda, the Paris Agreement, and the Green Deal.
It integrates research activities focused on evaluating the sustainability of energy technologies and systems and aims to assess their potential role and contribution to the low-carbon energy transition while identifying the best energy and environmental policies.
