The aim of this line is to improve and develop innovative and cost-effective solutions that bring the production of biofuels, biochemical bioproducts, and bioenergy to the market. To achieve this goal, we study technological improvements and new developments and concepts across the entire biomass/waste value chain, guided by the principles of bioenergy, biorefinery, and bioeconomy, from exploratory research to pilot-scale processing.
