The objective of this subline is to develop knowledge, processes and technologies for the production of renewable hydrogen through electrolysis, thermolysis, gasification and reforming processes. Activities also cover innovative storage systems such as liquid organic carriers, and hydrogen final use through the study of advanced combustion systems and the development of fuel cells, both low temperature (PEMFC) and high temperature (SOFC) and its scale up to semi-industrila prototypes. Integration of electrolysis with renewables energies for highly efficient hydrodogen production is also addressed in this subline.
