Theoretical-practical course on characterization of photovoltaic modules

22-hour course. Introductory course to experimental techniques, mainly applied and with an orientation towards professional training, where students will perform (in small groups) assisted practices in laboratories. Basic theoretical knowledge related to the operation of the modules, their structure and the characterization techniques themselves will also be imparted.

Practical Sessions:

Solar Radiation Sensors and Calibration Methods | I-V Curve Measurement in Outdoor Conditions | I-V Curve Measurement in Simulator at Different Irradiances and Temperatures. | Electroluminescence (EL) techniques in photovoltaic modules | Methods of characterization of modules by infrared thermography (IR) | Inspection and fault detection in PV modules | Shading effects and protective diodes | Modeling, simulation, translation, parameter extraction.

The number of places is limited to facilitate small group work in laboratories.
