Internships and research stays
CIEMAT collaborates with vocational education and training (VET) centres or IVET schools, referred to as FP in Spanish, to support the compulsory professional module undertaken in the second year of both Intermediate Level (Grado Medio, G.M.) and Advanced Level (Grado Superior, G.S.) vocational training programmes.
This collaboration is implemented through institutional agreements, in line with the regulations set by the education authorities of the respective Spanish Autonomous Communities.
How to proceed
The procedure is as follows:

For a student to undertake an internship at CIEMAT, a valid cooperation agreement must be in place with the student’s educational centre. If no such agreement exists, CIEMAT’s Educational Cooperation Unit will manage the process of formalising a new one.

There are two annual calls for internship applications: March–June and September–December.

Educational centres may apply for the internships offered by CIEMAT either via the link sent by email from CIEMAT’s VET Educational Cooperation Office, or through the link provided at the bottom of this page.
