Measurement and Evaluation of Ionizing Radiations
S-079
Numerical analysis of anomalous glow curves (ANCLA)
Abstract
CIEMAT has developed a console application with a friendly interface, useful for classifying data derived from a set of Thermoluminescent Glow (TL) Curves, obtained routinely by the Ionizing Radiation Dosimetry Services. In order to classify those curves that show anomalies associated with the status of the dosimeter.
What problems does it solve?
Currently, dosimetry services process a high volume of dosimeters on routinely. Detecting anomalous behavior under these conditions would necessitate a significant amount of highly skilled human resources. This application facilitates their identification and classification in a user-friendly and rapid manner.
Benefits
This application automates the analysis of routinely acquired TL Glow curves, enabling the classification of thousands of dosimeters based on the historical anomaly data detected from each thermoluminescent dosimeter. This process does not require oversight by technical personnel to determine the accuracy of the measurement.
The utilization of development environments built on Visual Studio.net ensures compatibility with the latest Windows operating systems.
