Abstract
There are many degradation factors that a photovoltaic module undergoes throughout its useful life such as discoloration, cracks or grooves in cells, delaminations, voltage-induced degradations or hot spots. These factors are determined by the composition of the solar cells that compose them and the time they have been exposed to sunlight. But in addition, active modules suffer a degradation in their storage time due to degradation of their components.
This document presents the results obtained from the degradation of amorphous silicon thin-film solar modules and CIGS whose efficiency has been compromised over ten years of uselessness.
