Abstract
Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) Far Detector (FD) is designed for detecting charge and scintillation light produced by an ionization event in its four liquid argon TPCs. Besides the calorimetry and position determination obtained with the charge, the photon-detection system (PDS) reinforces the performance to achieve DUNE's physics goals. The PDS for the first FD module is composed by X-ARAPUCAs which are light collectors that capture and shift 127 nm photons until they reach arrays of Silicon Photo-Multipliers (SiPM). In this paper, we describe the determination of the X-ARAPUCAs absolute efficiency for three of the four configurations that are being installed in ProtoDUNE phase II at CERN. For all the configurations tested, the efficiency, for a SiPM bias voltage corresponding to 45% PDE, lays in between 1.5% and 3%, which is in agreement with the requirements specified required in the DUNE Far Detector Technical Report (Vol. IV) [1].
