Abstract

The present document addresses the global issues associated with offshore wind park maintenance operations, highlighting the growing use of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) as a technological solution. The offshore wind energy sector faces significant challenges due to complex maritime conditions and considerable distances from the shore, resulting in high O&M costs. This report aims to analyze the potential contribution that drones can make to cost reduction by exploring their applications in infrastructure inspection and logistical operations. It provides a comprehensive overview of the current and future state of drone application in this industry, serving as a guide for those involved in the design, implementation, and management of projects in this constantly evolving sector.
