Abstract
The main objective of this Yearbook of the Actualidad Jurídica Ambiental Magazine - number thirteen, which is not small - is to offer the reader content related to the various environmental sectors so that they have adequate and effective information that
allows you to know and be up to date with the developments or modifications approved by the legislator and the jurisprudential trail sponsored by the Courts throughout 2023. Added to this is the list of bibliographic references that basically brings together what is published in this
matter and that facilitates the tracking work in legal-environmental research.
The special dedication that we have put throughout these years in order to improve the contents of our publication has finally borne fruit. "Environmental Legal News" has obtained the FECYT Quality Seal in 2023 and has achieved, after a rigorous evaluation process, its inclusion in Scopus; in addition to having been included in the Long List of candidates for the 9th IFLA Green Library Award. Ultimately and with all humility, we are in luck.
In terms of the matter we are considering, 2023 has been a peculiar year. To begin with, we continue to carry the consequences of armed conflicts without abandoning the consequences of the covid, which has translated into a "non-stop" of the legislator encouraged by the need to elaborate
standards under the auspices of the reforms and components introduced in the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, supported by European funds.
Secondly, although it should not be this way, the electoral periods and even more so if they are held one after the other, as has happened in our country with the regional elections in May followed by the general elections in July, entail an acceleration to last minute in the approval of regulations or their slowdown, depending on the interests at stake; although we continue to comply with the environmental reforms that Europe demands of us, often through Decree-Laws in which a mixture of matters stands out, sometimes difficult to decipher.
