Abstract
This work describes the operation manual of the OBDT-theta board, designed for time digitization of signals with a resolution on the order of 1 ns. The board is capable of digitizing up to 228 channels at this resolution and includes remote reprogramming capability for functional updates. It provides up to 5 optical output links for data transmission, achieving an aggregate bandwidth of approximately 50 Gbps. The board also integrates various protection and safety mechanisms, such as safeguards against overcurrent, overvoltage, and overheating. This board was originally designed to digitize the signals from the drift chambers of the CMS experiment for operation during the High-Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) phase.
